Tena Koe and Welcome to the
Te Ao Hou Primary Health Organisation (PHO) website
PHOs are local structures for the delivery and co-ordination of primary health care services. We bring together health care providers such as doctors, nurses and other health professionals (like Maori health workers, health promotion workers, dieticians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, podiatrists, psychologists and midwives) to improve health care for you and your Whanau (family).
Enrolling with a PHO is free of charge and it can be done at your local Doctor’s surgery. Enrolment with a PHO will enable you to access low-cost primary health care.
Te Ao Hou is a community-based PHO, established in 2003 as a charitable trust, to incorporate the needs and aspirations of the people within the rural Eastern Bay of Plenty from Potaka in the East to Ruatahuna in the West.
